- Nihon Falcom announced Ys vs Sora no Kiseki [Ys vs Legend of Heroes] for PSP, a four player fighting game featuring characters from the Ys and Sora no Kiseki series. The battles will be in 3/4 perspective of the late Ys games, and confirmed characters include Adol, Dogi and Olha from Ys VI; and Estel, Tita and Joshua from Sora no Kiseki.

- Here are some new images of Sega's PSP four player action RPG Phantasy Star Portable 2, the game will be available in Japan on December 3, 2009.

- Capcom confirmed that Guy, Cody and Adon from the Street Fighter Alpha 3 will return to Super Street Fighter IV.

- Ubisoft announced they have sold 1.6 million units of Assassin's Creed II for PS3 and 360 worldwide since its launch. The weekly sales was 32% higher than the first game.

- UNCONFIRMED: The next episode in Capcom's Biohazard 5: Alternative Edition [Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition], after Lost in Nightmare is called Desperate Escape, which will be released on March 4, 2010.

- Console peripheral manufacturer Datel has filed an antitrust lawsuit against Microsoft, after Microsoft blocked third party memory devices from working on Xbox 360 after the recent dashboard update. Datel described it as "predatory conduct undertaken to deliberately harm competition with no benefit whatsoever to consumers."

- Square Enix announced they will release two official guide books for Final Fantasy XIII, called Final Fantasy XIII Ultramania Scenario and Final Fantasy XIII Ultramania Battle in Japan on January 28, 2010.

- Shigeru Miyamoto mentioned that he has been increasingly involved in hardware design. In the past he has only limited influence on the hardware design, but since Nintendo DS, he oversees the entire development of the hardware.

- Nippon Ichi of America script editor Nick Doerr mentioned that the US and Europe RPG market, in particular for NDS is over saturated. He thinks the NDS RPG market is declining, some of the budget titles from Japan will probably never come to the market due to oversupply.

- Nintendo has sold 104,000 units of Nintendo DSi LL for the first two days after its launch in Japan on November 21.

- Namco Bandai revealed its secret RPG for Nintendo, it is Digimon Story: Lost Evolution, the game will be released in Japan in 2010.

- BBFC reported that Sega will release a Sonic Classic Collection for NDS, which will include 6 classic Sonic games: Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Knuckles in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 & 3.

- Koei announced Shin Sangoku Musou: MultiRaid 2 [Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce 2] for PSP, the sequel to the popular four player action game. MultiRaid 2 will feature both ad-hoc and infrastructure multi-player mode. A new villain character has been revealed, he is the king from the dark world.
