Hong Kong's largest gaming event Asia Game Show 2011 has opened at the HK Convention and Exhibition Centre on Dec 23rd, which is also the launch date of PS Vita in Hong Kong, Sony revealed two new apps for the Vita, and Capcom revealed a new Street Fighter X Tekken character....
Capcom revealed that Asuka from Tekken will be a new character in Street Fighter X Tekken. The game will have a Tutorial Mode, in which Dan will teach you the battle system in his dojo.
Media Create reported that the software hardware attach rate for PS Vita is 0.92, which is lower than 0.95 for 3DS and 1.06 for PSP. However the figure was solely based on cart sales, not including download sales. SCEJ CEO Hiroshi Kawano mentioned today that download sales have exceeded their expectations, but actual figures were not available.
Media Create also reported sold-through rate of Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIII-2, the PS3 version has sold through 62.06% of stock, which translates to a shipment of approximately 850k. The 360 version was in the 48th position in the chart, sold 10,000 units, or 30.2% of stock. In total, FFXIII-2 sold about 1/3 of the amount of FFXIII in the launch week.
Bandai Namco's Ridge Racer director Hideo Teramoto said that the Celius Studio started the development of the game in spring 2011 (Mar 1 - May 31), the development time was short because the dev tools were relatively easy to use and have a variety of libraries and tools in place. Due to the short development time the game lacks of courses and cars, the issue will be addressed through DLC content.
Nintendo has released The Legend of Zelda in the 3DS eShop for all people who were not in the 3DS Ambassador Program, the price is for 500 yen. The game was already available in September for users who qualified for the Ambassador Program.

Nihon Falcom announced Nayuta no Kiseki, a new installment of the Legend of Heroes Kiseki series, which sold over 1.3 million units in Japan. The game is a completely new title, with new world, characters and gameplay systems.
