- Konami announced Fairy Tail Portable Guild for PSP, a new four player fighting game based on the popular Kodansha manga/animated series Fairy Tail. The game will have two original characters and variety of costumes to customize the characters.

- RUMOR: Gamevision reported that Sony is planning to relaunch the PSP Go with a marketing blitz and price drop.

- Namco Bandai reported sales of 282.8 billion yen (US$3.13 billion) for the 3rd quarter, down 10.4% from last year, and a net loss of 11.7 billion yen (US$129 millions) instead of the previous estimate of 9 billion yen (US$99.6 millions) profit. The losses were caused by sluggish sales of of most game titles released during this period, such as Tales of Graces, and the only game met the sales forecast was Tekken 6.
- Due to financial situation, Namco Bandai announced a restructure plan, 10% or 630 positions will be eliminated over the next 12 months, a move to increase efficiency and bolstering its financial. The reduction of 10% workforce will save 3.5 billion yen by the end of the next fiscal year.
- Tecmo Koei announced a loss of 1.84 billion yen (US$20.3 million) for the third quarter, which mostly caused by disappointed sales of its Wii exclusive action game Sengoku Musou 3 [Samurai Warriors 3]. The full-year profit has also been lowered by 97% from 7.4 billion yen (US$81.8 million) to 200 million yen (US$2.2 million). The share price of Tecmo Koei has also went down by 9%.

- Hardware maker Buffalo announced they will release two licensed external hard drives for PlayStation 3. The Piano Black HD-AV500US/SC is a 500GB USB external hard drive that sits horizontally, with a meter on the front showing free disk space, which will sell for 14800 yen. The HD-CL500U2/SC is the second 500GB USB external hard drive which stands vertically, and does not have the meter. Both drives can be used with Sony's Torne Digital Video Recorder Kit.
- UNCONFIRMED: Gamefly reported that the Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII will be in 3 DVDs.
