- Tecmo Koei announced Dead or Alive Paradise for PSP, which is a collection of mini games based on Dead or Alive: Xtreme 2, in the game you can play various mini games like volleyball and poker with the DOA girls in bikini at the Zack Island.
- Capcom revealed new info on the new PSP game Monster Hunter Nikki: Poka Poka Airu Mura, in the game you play as the Airu (cat), there will be monster hunting and life simulation elements. You can hunter monsters with friends, help building the Airu Village and live your life in the village. The game will also have connectivity elements with Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G.

- Sony announced a new Final Fantasy XIII area will be opened in PlayStation Home in Japan, users can obtain free figurines for their homes, as well as buying FFXIII character costumes.
- Square Enix mentioned that one million copies of Final Fantasy XIII have been shipped to retailers across Japan, waiting for the launch on December 17, 2009. Square Enix also plans to ship 170,000 additional copies before the launch date, and another batch of 150,000 copies by the end of next week.
- Square Enix released another new TVCM video of Final Fantasy XIII for PS3, which shows the different battle scenes in the game.
- Square Enix of Europe confirmed that Star Ocean: The Last Hope International for PS3 will have additional character and an improved battle system over the original Xbox 360 version. The game will be released in Japan on February 4, 2010.
- Nikkei News reported that Sony Computer Entertainment had considered to replace the PS3 HDD with flash memory and replace local storage with online storage, using PSN to store all user data, but both options were scrapped because the cost would be too high. SCE's Masayuki Chatani mentioned it is still possible to make PS3 Slim smaller, by using an external power supply, but that would have imposed restrictions on transport and use.
- Sega announced Power Smash: Live Match for PS3, the latest installment of the Power Smash / Virtua Tennis series, the game will be released in Japan on March 25, 2010, for 6090 yen.

- Square Enix will release the XBLA shooter 0 Day Attack on Earth in Japan on December 23, 2009, for 1200 Microsoft Points.

- Nintendo has filed Zii for trademark protection in Japan on October 30, 2009. The Zii is filed for use as electronic devices and video games.

- Square Enix announced the launch of its own virtual currency Crysta in Japan, the virtual currency can be used in all Square Enix online games such as Fantasy Earth Zero or pay online fees. Users can purchase 500, 1000, 2000, 3000 and 5000 Crysta points at the Square Enix online shop.
- Sega announced they will be showing End of Eternity and Phantasy Star Portable 2 at the Jump Festa 2010, which will take place in Japan on December 19 and 20 in Tokyo.
- Warner Bros. announced they have acquired the distribution rights to Batman Arkham Asylum 2 worldwide, the game will be released in 2010.
- Harmonix confirmed that Green Day: Rock Band will be coming next year as a standalone Rock Band game for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii.

- Atlus released a new preview trailer of the NDS RPG Sekaiji no Meikyu III [Etrian Odyssey III], the game will have multiplayer support, up to 5 players can play the game over WiFi connection. Sekaiji no Meikyu III will be available in Japan on March 4, 2010.
