- Weekly Famitsu magazine clarified that Final Fantasy XIII for PS3 will not come with a access code for FFXIV beta, instead it is a campaign code for Final Fantasy XIV, which can be used to unlock a secret item. Two new jobs have been revealed in FFXIV, they are Gladiator and Pugilist.

- Square Enix will make an announcement regarding to US verison of Final Fantasy XIII on Friday November 13, 2009. Yoichi Wada mentioned the US and Euro versions are in the final stages of development.

- BBC reported that Activision's next James Bond game will not feature Daniel Craig as the main character, instead the actor Adam Croasdell will play James Bond in the game. This is likely a move to cut production costs.

- Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 have sold over 1.23 million units in UK on launch day, which sold twice as much than GTAIV's 630,000 units on launch date in 2008. The game is expected to sell around 7 million units globally on the first date, and 11.7 million units in the first week.

- EA Games president Frank Gibeau mentioned that they plan to revive the WWII shooter Medal of Honor series, the last game in the series was released in 2007.

- Square Enix announced that they have completed the reorganization of Square Enix and Edios Interactive in Europe, the business segments of the two companies are now merged, and will be called Square Enix Ltd.

- The Burnout series developer Criterion will be handling the next Need for Speed title for Electronic Arts, which will be released next year.

- EA announced 1500 employees (or 17% workforce) will be layed off by April 2010, and over a dozen games have been cancelled. Mythic Entertainment, the company behind Warhammer Online, will have 1/3 of its staffs layed off.

- Capcom announced Resident Evil 5: Lost in Nightmares will be coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 as a download episode. In the episode you will play as Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine. The PS3 version will have motion controller support.

- Here are some new images of Sony's four player tennis game Minna no Tennis Portable [Hot Shots Tennis Portable] for PSP, the game will be available in Japan on December 3, 2009.

- Konami will release the music fitness game Dance Dance Revolution Music Fit for Wii in Japan on January 28, 2010.

- Nikkei News reported that Ken Kutaragi has founded a new company called Cyber AI Entertainment Inc in late October 2009, which focuses in Internet Technology and Online Network businesses. Kutaragi is the president and holds 90% stake of the company.

- UNCONFIRMED: Scrawlfx reported that Sony will include Facebook integration and color Gamer Cards in the next PS3 firmware update.

- Netflix mentioned that the PS3 Netflix online video streaming service will likely remain unchanged until later next year, current user is required to start the service from a Blu-ray disc. Next year the Netflix service is expected to be embedded in the system in a firmware update.

- MCV reported that Microsoft will launch the motion control system Project Natal worldwide in November 2010, the company is aiming to ship 5 million units. The price will be around US$83/ 7500 yen / Euro 55, and 14 game titles will be available at the same time.

- BBC reported that Microsoft has banned over 600,000 Xbox Live announts, which have been using modded console or played pirated games on the system. Microsoft is aiming to ban 1 million accounts by the end of the year.
