- In a recent interview, Kazunori Yamauchi from Polyphony Digital mentioned that development cost of Gran Turismo 5 is around 5.43 billion yen (US$60 millions or 40.3 million euro), the cost is actual relatively lower than other high profile titles like Grand Theft Auto IV, which was US$100 millions.

- Yamauchi also mentioned that for the next installment of Gran Turismo, you will not have to wait as long as GT5. The reason it took so long for GT5 was because the game runs on a completely new operating system, and everthing was started from scratch.

- Sony announced they begin to offer music video download service in Japanese PlayStation Store, under Label Gate, the cost of the videos will be around 300 to 520 yen, over 60 videos will be available initially, including Michael Jackson and Madonna.
