- Capcom's Seth Killian mentioned there won't be a PSN or XBLA remake of Capcom vs SNK 2, because the development team is busy with other projects and the audience is smaller than Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Street Fighter; plus the company doesn't want to flood the market with fighting game, most players only buy 1 or 2 fighting games per year.
- Sega will release new Thor and Captain America games in US in 2011. The release date of the Thor movie is May 2011, and Captain America: The First Avenger is July 2011, the games are expected to arrive around the same time.
- GameIndustry reported that Square Enix will reduce global workforce by 10% by the end of this year, which affects Square Enix, Taito, Eidos and other connected studios or subsidiaries. The reason is to restructure and reorganize the company.

- Nintendo announced they will begin to offer demos of WiiWare games in Japan later this month in Japan.
- Nintendo confirmed that the next Zelda game for Wii will utilize Wii MotionPlus for sword combats and other areas which require precision.
- Square Enix released a new TVCM video for the Japanese version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, which will be released on November 12, 2009.

- Sony and Capcom will release a new Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G Bundle in Japan on December 10, 2009, for 18500 yen. The bundle will include the PSP-3000 Blue, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G (The Best Version), Power Supply and 1200mAh battery.
- Sony will also release a new PSP Value Pack in Japan on December 3, for 19800 yen, which includes the PSP-3000 (Black/White/Red or Blue), 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo, Wrist Strap, Pouch, Power Supply and 1200mAh Battery.
- Namco Bandai will release the PSP version of Tekken 6 in Japan on January 14, 2010.
- Namco Bandai announced its PSP four player action RPG God Eater will be released in Japan on February 4, 2010; a playable demo will be available on PlayStation Network on November 19, 2009.
- Konami confirmed that an English demo of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is in development.

- Sony signed new production companies for its PSN video delivery service in North America, securing video content like Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Newly added companies include Lucasfilm, Cinetic FilmBuff, ContentFilm International, Image Entertainment, MPI Media Group and New Video.
