- Konami is working on new Castlevania title for Wii called Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth, which has been examined by ESRB. The game is likely to be a remake or sequel to Castlevania: The Adventure for GameBoy from 1989, similar to Contra ReBirth.
- Square Enix will release the Wii action RPG Fullmetal Alchemist: Tasogare no Otome in Japan on December 10, 2009.
- Square Enix will release the Wii action RPG Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers in North America on December 26, 2009.
- Nintendo has registered The Last Story for patent and trademark protection in Japan, it is unclear what type of game it is.

- From Software released a preview trailer of its PS3 unique looking RPG 3D Dot Game Heroes, the game will be released in Japan on November 5, 2009.
- Sony announced its PSN racing game Wipeout HD will be released in Blu-ray format in Europe for 20 Euro; the Blu-ray version will include the expansion Fury Pack, which was only available on PSN.
- Sony mentioned that Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will have "in-game Twitter" support and 48 trophies, exactly how Twitter works in the game is still unclear.
- Tecmo will release a demo of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 on PSN in Japan on September 17, the game will be available on October 1, 2009.
