- Hiromichi Tanaka from Square Enix mentioned that the PS3 MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV will probably not released
on Blu-ray, instead the game will be available for download in PlayStation Network.
- Valve confirmed that Left 4 Dead 2 will not be coming to PS3.

- Koei announced the PSP version of Shin Sangoku Musou 5 Special will be released in Japan on September 3, 2009, for 5544 yen. The PSP version is based on the PS2 version, with additional playable character Meng Huo from Shin Sangoku Musou 5 Empires, and new Ad-Hoc cooperative mode not found in the PS2 version.
- Square Enix's Tetsuya Nomura revealed that Dissidia Final Fantasy was originally planned
as a PS2 title. The platform was switched to PSP because its Ad-Hoc mode enables user to exchange
cards and battle wirelessly. Also, the game was originally called Shade Theory Final Fantasy.
- Idea Factory announced Spectral Force Legacy for PSP, a new installment of the popular simulation game series.
- PM Studios will release the 2D shooter Strikers 1945 on PSN in July 2009, the game will be playable on PS3 and PSP. A new mode "Endless Mode", 6 new aircrafts and new Ad-Hoc co-operative mode have been added to the game.
- Gust will release Mana Khemia Portable 2 for PSP in Japan on October 1, 2009, the game is based on the PS2 version released last year.
