- Ubisoft CEO Yves Gilliemot mentioned that development costs of top class title for Xbox 360 and PS3 is around US$20 - 30 millions, and he expects the costs of next generation titles to be around US$60 millions.

- Activision announced that Call of Duty: World at War has sold over 11 million units worldwide since November 2009.

- Dengeki reported that Hideo Kojima is deeply involved with the development of Metal Gear Sold Rising that a normal producer would do.

- In the latest sales figures, Capcom's Bionic Commando has only sold 27,000 units in May 2009, which is pretty disappointing.

- Namco Bandai will release the Wii action game Dragon Ball: Tenkaichi Daibouken [Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo] in Japan on July 23, 2009.

- Gametrailers posted an interview video with of Suda 51's Goichi for the Wii action adventure game No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle.

- In an interview with Wired, Shigeru Miyamoto said games need controllers. He said as a developer, he would not create games that users cannot really interact with something his hands would hold, such as force feedback controller. He truly believe that a player should have something in his hand.

- Bungie's Brian Jarrard said that Master Chief will not appear in Halo 3: ODST for Xbox 360, because he is in another part of the galaxy in the time period in the game.

- LucasArts mentioned that the Xbox 360 version of The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition will run on the SCUMM engine (Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion), instead of an emulator. The engine is used for running all the graphic adventure game from LucasArts until 1997.

- Hori announced they will release the Twin Stick EX Controller for Xbox 360 in Japan in mid-November, which correspond to Sega's XBLA game Virtual On.

- Square Enix's Hiromichi Tanaka said that the PS3 MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV will be very different from Final Fantasy XI, from game mechanics to story. Both games will co-exist.

- Square Enix announced the development of the NDS RPG Dragon Quest IX: Hoshizora no Mamoribito has been completed. The game will ship in Japan on July 11, 2009.

- From Software has postponed the release date of Tenchu 3 Portable for PSP from August 6 to August 27 in Japan.

- In an interview, Kaz Hirai said Sony will continue to release PSP games in UMD format, the digital download is another way for customer to purchase their games. The PSP Go's 16GB memory will have room for 8 - 10 PSP games. Sony wants to have more casual players by introducing games like Hannha Motana.

- UNCONFIRMED: Destructoid reported that PSP developers are working for new games specifically designed for PSP Go, which are very small and inexpensive. These type of games will be no larger than 100MB and cost between $2 - $6, and they can be downloaded from the PSP App Store.
