- In a CNBC interview with Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, he mentioned that in the past three years, Nintendo has cancelled an entirely new handheld gaming platform, because it will not sustain the company's momentum.

- Iwata also said he acknowledged the new motion sensing technologies unveiled by Microsoft and Sony, Nintendo has not decided yet whether to iterate on the Wii or introduce another industry reshaping hardware.
