- Famitsu has posted an interview with Tetsuya Nomura from Square Enix, there are a few updates for the next Final Fantasy games:
- Square Enix will have some announcements for the Game Archives [PSone Classics] soon
- Nomura is no longer involved with the development of Final Fantasy XIII, he is only responsible for designs, synchronization and advertising
- Nomura is currently working on both Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Agito XIII
- The game system in Final Fantasy Agito XIII is now in a slightly different direction from the original design
- Parasite Eve: The 3rd Birthday for PSP is in good progress and the opening sequence is playable
- The Final Fantasy Versus XIII team is tweaking the combat system and upper world map, the game will have day and night periods in the cities
- A lot of Final Fantasy Versus XIII developers have also worked on Final Fantasy VII for PS
- A new video of Final Fantasy XIII will be at E3 2009
- Konami has updated its teaser website for the next Kojima Production game, now you can spot Big Boss from Metal Gear Solid in the site in random time, and he seems to be younger looking than in MGS3. In addition, Famitsu also revealed that Raiden will be in the game with a futuristic armor with one eye patched over, it seems the game takes place after MGS4.

- Itagaki Tomonobi, creator of Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden, revealed that he's working with a new team on a new Xbox 360 game called Tokyo Vikings , the producer is Yoshifuru Okamoto and directors are Katsunori Ehara and Hiroaki Matsui. The game will have a new engine and will be developed by many former members of Team Ninja. However the game is still in early stages so it will not be shown at E3.

- Activision will release Guitar Hero 5 for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and PS2 on September 1, 2009.
- 2K Games will release BioShock 2 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in North America on November 3, the story takes place 10 years after the first game, player returns to the undersea realm of Rapture.
- Take Two announced both Red Dead Redemption and Mafia II have been postponed to 2010.
- Capcom mentioned that Resident Evil 5 have sold over 5 million copies worldwide by the end of April 2009.

- Koei announced Trinity Zill O'll Zero for PlayStation 3, a new action RPG from Omega Force.
- Natsume will publish Sony's PS3 action adventure game Afrika in North America later this year.

- Namco Bandai will release DragonBall: Tenka-ichi Dai-Boken [DragonBall The World's Greatest Adventure] for Wii, the game is based on Goku's first adventure from the DragonBall series before DBZ series.

- Taito has released Arkanoid Plus for WiiWare in Japan, for 800 Wii Points. There is also a Level Pack for 200 Wii Points, which adds 61 new levels to the game.
- Capcom announced they will release the Monster Hunter 3 Classic Controller Pro Pack for Wii in limited quantity, only 200,000 units will be published on August 1, 2009.

- Rockstar Games announced Grand Theft Auto IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony will be coming to Xbox 360 exclusively this fall for $19.99, the second exclusive DLC for GTAIV, which focus on Luis Lopez, part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince (aka "Gay Tony"), players will struggle with the competing loyalties of family and friends.
- Rockstar Games will release Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City for Xbox 360 this fall, which contains both The Ballad of Gay Tony and The Lost and Damned together on one disc for $39.99. The game will not require a copy of the original Grand Theft Auto IV to play.
