- Microsoft announced that NBC and Universal Studios have joined as content partners for Xbox Live content download service. In addition, Netflix will also provide content for Xbox 360, you will be able to stream 10,000 titles from the movie rental service, as well as sharing Netflix movies and TV Shows with friends in your Live Party.
- Microsoft has officially announced Avatar for Xbox 360, which can be customized with clothes, hair styles and body type.
- Microsoft will launch Xbox Primetime, which allows players to play a variety of Xbox exclusive multiplayer game shows, players can play on the stage or in the crowd with a live host running the show.
- Microsoft announced LIPS, a new music game which allows player to sing from their own music collections, including music on Xbox 360 and iPod. The game will come with a motion sensitive microphone with allow interactivity even if player is not singing.
- Microsoft confirmed that Rockband 2 will have 86 songs on disc, including exclusive AC/DC songs. Almost all original Rock Band songs can be imported into this game.
- Here are some new images of Epic Games' third person shooter Gears
of War 2 for Xbox 360, the game will be available in North America and Europe on
November 7, 2008.

- Sony Online Entertainment announced DC Universe Online for PS3, in the game you can play as either the superheroes or the villains.
- Insomniac announced Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty for PS3, the game will be released as a PlayStation Network downloadable title in summer 2008. The game will be sequel to Ratchet & Clank Future, but gameplay will be shorter and the game will have both 2D and 3D gameplay.
- Sony announced the PS3 Greatest Hits titles will be hitting North America in fall 2008. The games will be available for $29.99. 10 games will be available: MotorStorm, Warhawk, Fight Night, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Assassin's Creed, Rainbow Six Vegas, Need for Speed Carbon, Call of Duty 3 and Resistance.
- Zipper Interactive announced a new PS3 online shooter called MAG - Massive Action Game, the game will support 256 players online and players can form teams of up to 8 players to battle other teams.

- Sony will release a new LEGO Batman PS2 Bundle in Q4 2008, the bundle will include a PS2 console, LEGO Batman and a DVD video of Justice League Frontier. The bundle will be sold for $149.

- Rockstar Games announced Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will be coming to NDS in winter 2008, the game will be developed by Rockstar North, and will have a custom game engine to allow full 3D graphics on DS, and the game will have new characters.

- Sony announced Resistance: Retribution for PSP, a third person shooter based on the PS3 game. The release date is spring 2009.
- Sony announced over 10 million units of PSP have been sold in Japan since the PSP launched on December 12, 2004.
