- Square Enix's RPG The Last Remnant will be released worldwide on November 20, 2008, the game will be time exclusive to Xbox 360. The game is also coming to Windows PC after the console version is launched.
- Square Enix confirmed that Final Fantasy XIII will be coming to Xbox 360 in North America and Europe, the game will be released simultaneously on both PS3 and Xbox 360.
- Microsoft confirmed that the price of the 20GB Xbox 360 will be reduced to $299, the 20GB model will be phasing out and replaced by the new 60GB model, which will be released in August 2008, for $349.
- Microsoft will release Epic Games' Gears of War 2 for Xbox 360 in North America on November 7, 2008.
- Microsoft will publish the Xbox 360 RPG Fable 2 in October 2008.

- Nintendo announced Wii MotionPlus for Wii, an add-on that attached to the end of the Wii Remote to provide more comprehensive tracking of player's arm position and orientation, which would enhance precision when playing games such as first person shooter.
