- Square Enix announced Geemu no Nanatsu for NDS, a new horror adventure game which is controlled by the stylus, the game will be released on July 3 in Japan.

- Nintendo announced its company's net sales for the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2008 were 1672 trillion yen (US$16.2 billion), up by 73%; the net income was 257 billion yen (US$2.5 billion), up by 47%. The Wii console sold 18.61 million units worldwide during last fiscal year, Nintendo expects to sell another 25 million units worldwide this year. The key success titles are Wii Fit (1.85 million), Super Smash Bros. Brawl (4.85 millions), Super Mario Galaxy and Mario Party 8.

- Nintendo DS has sold 30 million units worldwide last year, with a total of 70 million units. There are 57 NDS titles which sold over million copies worldwide; key success titles are Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, Brain Training and Mario Party DS.

- 1up reported that the pirated copy of Xbox 360 Grand Theft Auto IV has been released in torrent sites for download, a couple of days ahead of the release date. Current only the PAL version is available.

- Square Enix has registered "Hand of the Heavenly Bride" for patent protection in US on April 16, 2008, which is the subtitle of Dragon Quest V, so it seems like the game will be heading to US.

- Bandai Namco confirmed that a new Splatter House game is under development, the series was created in 1988 by Namco.

- Ninja Theory, maker of Heavenly Sword, confirmed that their next game will run on both PS3 and Xbox 360.

- Konami announced its arcade shooter Otomedius G will be coming to Xbox 360 in Japan sometimes this year.

- Capcom announced that over 2 million copies of Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G for PSP were shipped in Japan.
