- Nintendo of Japan reported that a small percentage of disc problems with Mario Kart Wii, the game would freeze or crash while playing, the reason is that the game is on a Dual Layer DVD, a small percentage of Wii console were not able to read these discs probably due to dust or other problems with the laser.
- Treasure's president Masato Maegawa mentioned that the company is working on two new games for Wii, and both games are in 3D.
- Nintendo will release the long delayed Wii survival action game Disaster: Day of Crisis in Japan on July 3, 2008.
- Nintendo announced Super Mario Slugger for Wii, a new baseball game featuring Mario characters, you use the Wii Remote as the bat to hit the ball. Super Mario Slugger will be released in summer 2008
- Konami confirmed that Elebits 2 will appear on Wii, as opposed to NDS as previously reported.

- Sony will release a new update patch for Lair on April 17, 2008 in Japan, which includes Dual Shock 3 rumble support and the ability to control the dragon with analog control instead of Sixaxis.
- Sony announced a limited edition Gunmetal Grey PlayStation 3 will be released on June 12, 2008 in US, for the Metal Gear Solid 4 Limited Edition bundle.

- Bandai Namco announced they have shipped 500,000 copies of the popular drum music game Taiko no Tatsujin DS: Touch de Dokodon! for NDS, since its release on June 26, 2007.
