- Capcom announced its newly released PSP game Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G has sold over 1 million copies in 6 days, making it the fastest selling PSP game to date.

- Sony announced MotorStorm Complete for PlayStation 3 in Japan, the game will be released on May 22, 2008, for 4980 yen. It is unconfirmed what is included in the Complete version, it is possibly MotorStorm with all the expansion packs all included on the disc.

- Infinity Ward, developer of Call of Duty 4 mentioned that 1.3 million players are playing the game online via Xbox Live for the last 2 - 3 months.

- Square Enix announced new content for its WiiWare game Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King will be released in Japan for 100 Wii points, which adds new dungeons and costume for the game.

- Hudson announced new titles for WiiWare, including:

• June 2008 - Wi-Fi 8 Battle Bomberman
• July 2008 - Tetris Wii
• August 2008 - Alien Crush (remake of PC-Engine pinball game)
• 2008 - Blue Oasis (virtual aquarium)

- Square Enix announced a US version of Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon for Wii will be released on July 8, 2008.

- SNK Playmore announced a PS2 port of the arcade fighting game The King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match will be released in Japan on June 26, 2008, the game will have online battle support.

- Ubisoft announced its tactical shooter Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 have sold over 2 million copies worldwide since its release on March 20, 2008.

- Sega Sammy announced the company will close its Korean subsidiary, which responsible for the arcade business, game sales and distribution in Korea.

- Capcom announced they have secured the publication rights to the MotoGP license for all platforms for a period of 5 years. Capcom plans to release new MotoGP games for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PS2.
