- Sega announced Initial D: Extreme Stage will be coming to PS3 in Japan this summer, the game will be based on the arcade version, with online battle support.
- Sony announced two new PlayStation 3 bundles will be available in Europe in March 2008. The PS3 Movie Pack will be available on March 19, for Euro 399, which includes the 40GB PS3, Blu-ray movies 300, Spiderman 3 and Casino Royale. The PS3 Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Bundle will be available on March 29, for Euro 399, which includes the 40GB PS3 and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.
- Nippon Ichi will release the US version of the PS3 SRPG Disgaea 3 in August 2008.
- Sony will release a Metal Gear Solid 4 Bundle in US and Japan in Q2 2008. The bundle will include the 80GB PS3, Dual Shock 3 controller, and Metal Gear Solid 4, for US$499 or 53,000 yen.
- Konami's Metal Gear Solid 4 will be released in Japan on June 12, 2008. Three different versions will be available:
- Normal Version - includes Metal Gear Online Starter Pack, beta test begins on April 21, 2008
- Special Edition - includes a Blu-ray video of the Making of Metal Gear Solid 4
- Premium Pack - includes both the Special Edition and the PS3 hardware
- Sony will release the Dual Shock 3 wireless controller in April 2008 in US, for $54.95.
- Codemasters will release a PS3 version of Overlord: Raising Hell in summer 2008, the PS3 version should include all download content available for the Xbox 360 version.

- Nintendo announced Mario Kart Wii will support text chat when playing online.
- Capcom announced Biohazard 0 [Resident Evil 0] will be coming to Wii in summer 2008 in Japan. The game is a full port of the GameCube version, with a new Wii remote control scheme similar to Biohazard 4.
P S P
- Sony announced the PSP has sold over 8 million units in Japan since the second week of February 2008.
- Sony will release a new God of War Bundle in June 2008 in US, for $199.99, the bundle includes a Deep Red model of PSP, God of War: Chains of Olympus, Super Bad UMD Video and Free download voucher of Syphon Filter: Combat Ops.

- Marvelous will release the NDS SRPG Luminous Arc 2: Will in Japan on May 15, 2008.

- Reuters reported that Nintendo Wii outsold PlayStation 3 by a ratio of 4:1 in February 2008 in Japan, thanks to strong software support like Wii Fit and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Wii sold 331,627 units in February, while PS3 sold 89,131 units, and Xbox 360 sold 14,079 units.
- Namco Bandai confirmed that new Tales RPG will be coming to both Xbox 360 and Wii in US this year. Tales of Versperia will be coming to Xbox 360 in Q4 2008, while Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World will be coming to Wii around the same time.
