- SNK Playmore announced NeoGeo Stick 2 will be coming to Wii in Japan on April 10, 2008, for 5040 yen. NeoGeo Stick 2 is an arcade joystick which is compatible with Virtual Console software, specially designed for NeoGeo VC games.
- Nintendo's senior managing director Jinyou Mori announced they plan to increase the monthly production of Wii in the fiscal year of 2008, currently Nintendo produces 1.8 million units monthly.
- Nintendo announced the development teams for Wii game software will increase in Japan. However, the Nintendo DS team will remain unchanged.
- Nintendo will release Wii Fit in US in April 2008, and in Europe in June 2008.

- RUMOR: ArsTechnica reported that Sony plans to phase out the 80GB PlayStation 3 and replace with a new 120GB or 160GB model, which will be bundled with the Dual Shock 3 controller. AcsTechnica is the first source revealed the $399 40GB PS3 model last year.
- Sony and Nichia Corporation announced the company plans to reduce the size of the blue laser reader used in Blu-Ray players, to reduce production costs. The new blue laser reader will be 3mm thick and be able to read both Blu-Ray and DVD discs.

- Square Enix will release the US version of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII for PSP on March 25, 2008. The game will come with a specially designed Shin-Ra UMD storage case.
