- Square Enix plans to release a demo of Final Fantasy XIII in 2008 to let players try out the new battle system, and the theme of the game is determination.
- Sony announced The Family Body Toy for PS3, a new EyeToy2 game, the theme is to move your body. You have to hold different postures in front of the EyeToy2 for certain period of time, the game supports multiple players simultaneously. There will be training lessons as well.
- Sony will release Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds [HotShot Golf 5] for PS3 in US in March 2008, the game will be available in PlayStation Network.
- SCEE announced the sales of PS3 has incrased after the price drop, 1.2 million units of PS3 were sold in Europe for the last 5 weeks of 2007.
- Sony's Kazuo Hirai mentioned that no further PS3 price drop in Japan, US or Europe is planned.
- UNCONFIRMED: Sony will release Ceramic White PlayStation 3 in US, according to FCC.

- Epic Games announced a new version of the Unreal Engine 3 will be demonstrated behind closed doors at the Game Developers Conference, which will take place in San Francisco between February 18 - 22, 2008.
- Capcom announced a playable demo of Devil May Cry 4 will be comign to PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace in Japan on Janaury 24, 2008.
- Capcom will release a Devil May Cry 4 Soundtrack Album in Japan on February 27, 2008, for 3990 yen. The album will have 3 discs, 104 songs and a 20 page booklet.

- Q Entertainment will release the music shooter Rez HD in Xbox Live Marketplace in Japan on January 30, 2008, for 800 Microsoft Points.
- Microsoft Japan general manager Takashi Sensui mentioned that the company will release more western game titles in Japan this year. Spike will release Battlestations: Midway, Tomb Raider: Anniversary and Bioshock in Japan sometimes this year.

- Koei announced Sangoku Musou BOW [Dynasty Warriors BOW] for Wii, a new first person shooter using bows and arrows. The game will have playable characters from the Shin Sangoku Musou series such as Huang Zhong. The game will support 2 players simultaneously.
- Sega announced Space Channel 5.0 for Wii, a remake of the classic dancing game, the game will have licensed songs from Michael Jackson.
- Enterbrain reported that Nintendo has sold 5,019,337 units of Wii in Japan, as of January 20, 2008; and the four Wii games have sold over 1 million copies:

- Konami announced its PSP horror adventure game Silent Hill Origins will be coming to PlayStation 2.
- Sony announced the PSP action game Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters will be coming to PS2 in March 2008.

- Sony has postponed the release of Skype for PSP in Japan, a new release date has yet been determined.

- Banpresto announced Infinite Frontier Super Robot Taisen OG Saga for Nintendo DS, a cross-over between Banpresto and Monolith Soft. The game is a RPG spinoff of the Super Robot Taisen series, featuring an action oriented battle system. You battle in a small groups of four characters. The game will have characters from the Xenosaga series, such as KOS-MOS.

- Sega has pushed back the release date of the strategy RPG Sakura Taisen: Kimi Arugatama for NDS from Feb 21, 08 to Mar 19, 08.
