- Square Enix Europe CEO John Yamamoto mentioned that the company considers acquisition of western studios,to develop games which have more western flavor and suitable for worldwide audience. Simultaneous worldwide release of games is a high priority.

- Sony will release a PS2 version of the car combat game Twisted
Metal Head On: Extra Twisted Edition, the game features new levels and playable

- Nintendo announced the release date of Super Smash Bros. Brawl for Wii has been pushed back to March 9, 2008 in US, the reason is the longer than expected development process. The Japanese version will be released on January 24, 2008.
- Hori announced they will release a Wii Fit Mat, a mat that sits under the Wii Fit Balance Board to provide cushion and comfort while playing the game. The size is 1.83m x 61 cm. The Wii Fit Mat will be released in February 2008, for 3444 yen.
- Bandai Namco will release Family Jockey in
Japan on March 6, for 5500 yen. In the game you use the Wii Remote as the bridle and the nunchuk as the
rod; you can tilt the Wii Remote to move left and right.

- Business Week reported that the manufacturing cost of PlayStation 3 has gone down by 50%, now the cost is approximately $400 as opposed to $800 at its US launch in November 2006, which was achieved by simplying designs and reduction of parts.
