- Sega announced a new, more realistic Olympics sports game is in development for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, the game will feature over 35 official events and online multiplayer modes, and the developer is Eurocom.
- CESA announced that the next Tokyo Game Show will be pushed back by one month to October 9 - 13, 2008. The event will be 4 days long, with the first two days for business, and the last two days for public.
- Variety reported that Universal is planning to end its exclusive support to HD-DVD after its agreement with Toshiba ends May 31, 2008.
