- Sony has offically announced price drop and the 40GB PS3 in North America. The 40GB PS3 will be released on November 2, for $399 (US/Canada), and will come bundled with the Blu-ray movie Spider-Man 3. The price of the current 80GB PS3 is reduced to $499 (US/Canada) immediately.
- Nikkei News reported that Sony and Toshiba have reached an agreement to jointly establish a new firm by March 2008, to manufacture processors for PlayStation 3 console, the joint investment will be around 100 billion yen (US$858 million), Toshiba will own 60%, Sony will on 20%, and SCE will own 20%. The new firm will begin manufacturing Cell chips in 65nm, and the goal is to build the chip in 45nm.
- Polyphony Digital announced Gran Turismo 5 Prologue ~ Free Trial Version will be available in Japanese PlayStation Store between October 20 - November 11, 2007. This version includes 7 playable vehcles, single player and online mode. In additional there will be a Gran Turismo TV mode, which allows you to download replay videos contributed by other players.
- Capcom confirmed that the PS3 version of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition will have 3 new playable characters from the PC version, including Joe (NEVEC soldier), Rockman (Mega Man) and Frank West (photojournalist from Dead Rising).

- Sega announced Sega Superstars Tennis for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2 and NDS, the game will feature characters from Sonic the Hedgehog, AiAi from Super Monkey Ball, Ulala from Space Channel 5, Amigo from Samba de Amigo and more....
