- Microsoft announced a new Xbox 360 bundle called the Xbox 360 Core System Hatsubai Kinen Pack, which will come with two free games: Ninety Nine Nights and Project Gotham Racing 3, but the system will no longer come with a HDD. The new bundle will be released on November 2, 2006, for 29800 yen (US$257); the 20GB HDD will be sold separately for 9975 yen (US$85).

- Sega announced Phantasy Star Universe will be coming to Xbox 360 in Japan, previously the game was only available on PS2 and PC.

- Here are some new images of Microsoft Game Studios' Xbox 360 driving simulator Forza Motorsports 2, the game will be released in November.

- Sony has pushed back the Euro launch date of PlayStation 3 from November 2006 to March 2007, while the US and Japan launch dates remain unchanged. The reason is due to a bottleneck in the production of the Blu-ray drives and the extra time to prepare for the multilingual European versions.

- Sony will ship 400,000 units of PlayStation 3 to US at launch on November 17, and 100,000 units in Japan. 1.2 million units will be available in Japan by the end of 2006.

- Sony will still ship 4 million units of PlayStation 3 by the end of 2006 and 6 million units accumulated by the end of March 2007.

- Game Republic announced a new PS3 action adventure game called Unknown Realms, the two protagonists are two sisters Ellen and Keats. Ellen is a high school girl and Keats is a female journalist. One day they received a letter from their mother, who died a long time ago in their childhood. They will travel between reality and other dimensions to solve the mysteries, including the spirit world, martial world, hell and realm under the ocean. The sisters will gain the power to summon monsters and spirits in their journey.

- From Software announced they will release a PS3 version of Enchanted Arms, this will be the first role playing game to be released on PS3.

- Capcom revealed new details on Devil May Cry 4 for PS3. The game will have a new protagonist named Nero:

• Nero will be the new protagonist
• Dante will be in the game as well, it is unclear whether Dante will be playable.
• The story of DMC4 will take place immediately after the first Devil May Cry.
• The game will run at 60 fps.
• There is a new move called Devil Bringer, which combines both sword and pistol attacks on one hand.
• Devil May Cry 4 will be playable at TGS 2006

- From Software announced that Armored Core 4 for PS3 and Xbox 360 will have online duels, up to 8 players can battle online, the PS3 version will be released in Japan in December 2006.

- Tecmo revealed new info on its Wii sports game Sukatto Golf Pangya [Super Swing Golf Pangya]. In the game you hold and swing the controller like a genuine golf club. The game will have a story mode named Pangya Fiesta, in which you play as the two amateur golfer Ken and Erika.

- UNCONFIRMED: Square Enix's Wii RPG Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen & the Tower of Mirrors is no longer a launch title for the console in Japan, no official announced has been made yet.

- Sony announced a price drop for PlayStation 2 in Japan, the new model SCPH-77000 CB/CW will be released on September 15, for 16000 yen (US$138), which comes in two colors: Charcoal Black and Ceramic White.

- Square Enix will release the monster breed & battle RPG Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker for NDS in Japan on December 28, 2006.

- Nintendo will release the NDS action game Kirby Squeak Squad in Japan on November 2, 2006.
