- Gust announced Atelier Iris: Grand Fantasm for PlayStation 2, the 3rd installment of the popular Atelier Iris RPG series.
- Genki will release Ninkyouden: Toseinin Ichidaiki for Ps2 in Japan on March 24, 2006; a soundtrack album of the game will be released on April 26, 2006.
- Here are some new images of Namco's PS2 flight shooter Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War, the game will be released in Japan on March 23, 2006, for 7140 yen.
- Sega announced a new PS2 soccer game called World Soccer Climax, the game will have over 7000 real name players and 400 teams from the world, and a variety of play modes, such as career, exhibition, competition, training, edit and versus.

- Namco will release the PS2 sci-fi RPG Xenosaga Episode III: Also Sprach Zarathustra in Japan on July 6, 2006.
- Sony announced a new PS2/PSP RPG Brave Story, based on the animation movie of the same name, the game will have toonshaded graphics like in Dragon Quest VIII, both versions will be released in Japan in summer 2006.

- Milestone will release a PS2 and GC version of the popular arcade/Dreamcast shooter Radilgy in Japan on May 25, 2006. The PS2 version will be named Radilgy Precious, and the GC version will be named Radilgy Generic.

- Nintendo has released the DS Shindou Cartridge [DS Vibration Cartridge] in Japan, currently available at the Nintendo Online Shop for 1200 yen. The DS Shindou Cartridge adds vibration function to games like Mario & Luigi RPG 2 and Metroid Prime Pinballl; the cartridge plugs into the GBA cart slot of the NDS.
- Nintendo of Japan has shipped 450,000 units of DS Lite at launch on March 2, 2006; and 200,000 units of the original Nintendo DS will be shipped in the same month to ease the demands.
- From Software released a new preview video of its DS stealth action game Tenchu: Dark Shadow, the game will be released in Japan on April 6, 2006.
