DS comes out on top?
Why? Because the PSP's software line up is complete ass and 300 dollars is too much to pay for a portible, EVER. This thing could pump out graphics better than the Xbox's and I would still say it's too much.

I wish the PsP will do better because it's a Sony product and more people buy from sony than anything else. I know I'm going with sony, but truthfully the DS probaly will do better because Nintendo has been doing portable for a while and this is sony's first time and they might have errors they will probaly have to fix. All around Nintendo knows what there doing more than Sony

Im siding with the DS!
Its not clear how much they'll overpower the PSP but they seem to be ahead with its software.

I myself will be getting a DS. I'm not really big on portables and i wouldnt mind putting down 150 for a DS. I sure as heck wouldnt spend $300-350 on a PSP. The stylus on the DS is interesting and it sounds from what information Nintendo is releaseing that they are starting to get serious on the wireless multiplayer aspects of the DS which is a big thing for me since one of the main reasons i got an XBox was for the Live! play. All in all i think the PSP will be the 'cool' elite thing to get over the DS because it has the playstation tag and its more expensive = better in some peoples minds. |

I have to go with the DS, Nintendo knows the handheld market and seem to have not only more developers support but more interesting games set to release on their platform then Sony. There's also the matter of price and any way you slice it it looks as though the DS will be half the price of the PSP, which will ultimately be the deciding factor in my oppinion.
Come the DS or PSP's releases I probably won't get either system. But, if the DS at it's pricepoint has enough attractive looking RPG's released for it, I'll pick it up in an instant as the second screen and stylus seem custom made for RPG's equipment managment as well as communication via WiFi in any MMORPG or other multiplayer game. e.g. Animal Crossing for DS will kill if it uses WiFi.

GBA, cause there ain't **** that I could play on the ds nor the psp at this point. SCEA might even reject 2d psp games here in America, that would suck add to the fact that all of the ds launch is just tech demo's and the second screen isn't that innovative my answer is the gba.

i vote for the DS cause im sure nintendo has a grip on the handheld department they wont relinquish....the psp i have hopes to do well..but i want nintendo to remain number 1 and if sony(or any company)wants it....they will have to fight for it..nintendo has been somewhat good to me with the gameboy...even though the released a fricking million systems...i appreciate them for it

I think the DS will sell more at first but then after the PSP getting a footing it'll take over.

Oh, no question that the DS will outsell the PSP due to the cheap cost, the stylus and dual-screen and the list of titles. It that, and it's the fact that the DS can play all of the GBA games (though not GB). The PSP is going to be plaqued with assorted problems, but after a bad start, just like the PS2, I see it finding its legs once the price comes way down and they start showing tons of titles which aren't simply ports or tweaked versions of titles which already exist on the PSone or 2. But after only a few years, I see Nintendo prepping for the successor to GBA. Also, I heard rumblings awhile back about Microsoft wanting in on the portable action.
This industry isn't big enough for three companies. :annoyed:
