Don't forget, Seiken Densetsu is also Final Fantasy Adventure for GB. Secret of Mana is ONLY the second Seiken Densetsu game.
I wonder what FF Crystal Chronicles is.

Yep. Is why I put this in the Gamecube section without thinking, since the main thing about the news that stuck to me was the GC thing. Oh well. Portables I guess!

It sounds like Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is a 4 players action RPG, like Shining Soul. This is a FIRST in the FF series!

I'm still holding out for a Square/Nintendo joint venture Super Mario RPG: Legends of the Seven Stars sequel. And it looks like Brownie Brown, a Nintendo company, founded by Legend of Mana creator will make a GBA version.

Freaky.. They're making a Gamecube version of Crystal Chronicles aswell and you can link up to that with the GBA. That just sounds like a riot. Hope they show some screens soon.

the company founded by ex DQVII programmer is named Genius Sonority
and i don't expect more than 1 Square game for GC next year GBA will have a contender sooner or later, the handheld market is just too juicy -aneep- |

I actually expect a heck of a lot of RPGs on the GBA, after all jsut look at the number of RPGs we got on the SNES. As for next gen consoles, Sony so far has the lead in RPGs in PS2, hopefully a large amount of RPGs also appear for the GCN. For the Xbox - I wouldnt put my hopes up too much. :p

Offtopic
Just alittle offtopic here..
But do you gamers think that the Cube might also become an rpg station kinda like the ps2!! Sure it's alittle early to say but it sure looks like the cube might get alot more rpg in the near future! Any thought on this one?

If RPGs are going to go anywhere aside from the PS2, it'll be on the gamecube. It's only its first year and a few have come out for it. It didn't take till end of the second year for PS2 to get any good rpgs I think. So by next year we'll be able to see whats coming. I think developers might start making more soon. Especially if Square shifts its eye to the console. But if that happens it will be once the cube sells heaps more units. I'm expecting Zelda to do this.

Truthfully...
until i see one RPG with the same potential as Chrono Trigger or FFTactics, I don't feel like the PS2 is a RPG station! They might have a lot of RPGs, but they arent memorable as those I mention above. I won't even start talking about FFXI... |
