I'm currently watching The Big O, IMO nice mecha anime.
Decado I actually started downloading today the first episode of Gungrave. From what I see the sizes are between 30-40 MB and they are Real Media, so they should be good. Now I know there's no action in the first 5 eps of Gungrave, but I'll download them anyways. Here's another site, but it's download section is off: http://saiyan-rebirth.com

I'm watching a bunch of anime. I've only been watching anime for around a year, so I still have some catching up to do. Tenjou Tenge has been surprisingly entertaining (though the last ep I saw was a flashback, which didn't make much sense). Quote:
I have never heard of The Big O. I'll have to look into it. 30-40 MB is tiny. TV rips average around 170 MB (from the most popular groups, anyway). DVD rips 230 MB. I just finished DLing a high quality DVD rip for GitS: 1st Gig and it ran to 8.8 Gigs (around 340 MB per episode). I watch pretty much all the anime I have on my TV now so I don't bother with lower quality stuff. Tends to look really bad. Torrents, while dying, are still the way to go for me. |

I dunno, I kind of like the series better. Granted, none of the girls are as cool as Yomiko or Nancy, but they have their own merits.
I'm suprised you haven't seen the big O, it was on Cartoon Network for a very very long time. Apparently, it's gonna take over Witch Hunter Robin's slot pretty soon. I would have liked it more if they put in a unified story rather than a series of loosely connected ideas.

*shrugs* Nothing wrong with the TV series. I really enjoyed it.
Like I said, I've only really been watching anime for a year. Not even sure if I get the Cartoon Network. Witch Hunter Robin is on YTV, where I live. Unfortunately I generally don't get into stuff on TV 'cause I keep forgetting to watch That and I really don't like dubbed anime.

I'd really like to watch an anime without a 'unified story' for once.
Anyone seen a sports anime? I saw Captain Tsubasa 1, 2 & 3 (I didn't see all of 3 though), I'm currently looking for Slam Dunk eps (the link I gave only has the first 5 eps I want another that has the rest). Slam Dunk is both funny and nice, although there are a couple of eps that talk about the past which are somewhat boring, but that dude with the orange hair is TOTALY HILARIOUS!

I tried watching the first few episodes of GTO and HATED it. The main character's voice is sooooo friggin' annoying. I think it is the "side-kick" guy from the Innitial D series. Quite possibly the most hideous voice ever.
Are you watching it on DVD or DVD-rips? How's the subbing? |

I heard that some people like onizuka's dubbed voice better. and ya in the sub its done by Takagi Wataru same guy who did kenji's voice in the initial D series. The manga is a lot better than either of the versions.
As always

In other news, The Bleach anime seems to have fixed the problems it had last week. Let's just hope it holds.
