Nope but I believe ADV replaced it with a new magazine which is pretty similar just without the Newtype name.

Is Eva's ending really as bad as people say? I watched the first 4 episodes but then stopped becuase my little brother told me the ending is horrible.
In other news, I'm still hooked on Eyeshield 21. Unfortunatly it fell victim to horrible dub/editing when it came stateside .

the ending is the movie, the 2 last episodes in the TV series mean nothing at all, they just had to made them cause the studio made them, the movies are the last two final episodes.
The movie is awesome, if you love the TV series, there isn't any reason to hate the movies.

like spider said the real ending is the final movie(s) to the series. the ending that everyone hated were the one (or was it two?) shorter episodes which were existential and was just plain weird, being released months after the final movie/episode. I read that the creator made them to self-heal from the depression he was suffering from after finishing the series.

Ending of Evangelion is 2 45 min movies.
The first movie is amazing, the second movie is decent but still kind of falls victim to such travesties as live-action cuts... I love the series. Can't decide if it passes Escaflowne as my all-time favorite (or maybe even Berserk) but its easily top-3.
