yeah you shouldn't have bought Highlander, it's not even the original cut, for some reason, they cut out scenes from the original japanese release of it and the director was pissed about it so now they're going to have a Director's cut later this year which will probably include the japanese dub also.

I haven't seen Highlander yet, I might download it from Boxtorrents later. I've heard the dub is pretty horrible though it's done by crappy Ocean Studios. Maybe I'll wait for a subbed version afterall.

If they kill the villians, they essentially end the conflict. That creates splits in interest and forces the manga-ka to come up with new conflict. Usually that new conflict isn't as good as the first (see current Naruto chapters).

In other news, Ooedo Rocket is fucking awesome.

Shigurui is tops for me. Can't beat period samurai action from MADHOUSE

Nothing else looks particularly great, IMO.

Gurrne-Lagaan and Claymore are my current votes for best anime still going at the moment (excluding the soon to be finished Code Geass Season 1), though I am also taking the time to enjoy the wonderfully, recently completed, DeathNote.
