Sega Becomes The One

Curtesy of Gamespot

Two weeks ago, wild rumors of a resurgent Dreamcast raged after Sega sent out word that it would have an "explosive announcement" at this year's E3. However, that news detonated over the weekend, when Sega posted large banners announcing its deal to publish The Matrix Online all over the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Nevertheless, the press gathered at Sega's E3 today so see if the so-called "Sega-ton" had any more bang left in it. After a brief delay, the lights in the Sega booth dimmed and Sega of America president Hideaki Irie emerged to announce?a deal with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Monolith to publish the Matrix Online.

Speaking to the audience, WBIE's senior vice president Jason Hall said he considered the massively multiplayer game "the fourth movie in the series" and hyped up the detail of its urban setting. Them Monolith CEO Samantha Ryan appeared to present a so-called "super brawl," in which a group of Monolith staffers duked it out inside the Matrix Online. Sega will be staging these demo fights throughout E3

The Matrix Online is Sega's "big announcement"?

Don't they have anything else?

I'd take Sonic Adventure 3 over this turd of a announcement...

The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions were CRAP. Especially Revolutions...

The Matrix Online is not going to fill my SEGA void... sorry..

As long as the game is a bit decent, I think its okay. Sega needs to get known to the casual gamer, what better way to do that but with a mainstream game like Matrix-Online?

i was kind of hoping the announcement would be everyone would forget reloaded and revolutions ever came out, so that new good movies would then be released in their place and no one would ever mention the original mistakes again

Well, the first movie was good. The second one had a nice highway scene and a hot french chick (I hope she shaves) but other than that it sucked. Like many people, I didn't even bother to see the 3rd movie.

I consider myself to be pretty good at the English language, but I am having trouble deciphering your sentence above. Rephrase?
