Brave Fencer Musashi sequel just announced my Square Enix.

This just in from rpgamer.com. It was definitely a shock for me. I didn't see this one coming. I'm still hoping that a Vagrant Story sequel will be announced soon, but who knows.

"Square Enix has a few surprises in store for those attending E3, no doubt. One of those surprises revealed itself today in the form of a rolling trailer in their still under-construction E3 display. The trailer features Samurai Legend Musashi, a PlayStation 2 sequel to the quirky PlayStation action-RPG Brave Fencer Musashi.

Samurai Legend Musashi features a redesigned hero with baggy pants, a tight tank top, twin swords, and an even bigger hair style than the original. The rest of the game's visuals, obviously, are a big improvement over its Playstation incarnation, with sharply outlined toon-shaded graphics which accentuate the character designs, and environments far larger than in Brave Fencer Musashi. Also shown, are some battles which show off some cool animations, like an enemy suddenly transmuting to burning ash, which blows away leaving his skeleton behind.

While not officially named as the artist for Samurai Legend Musashi, Tetsuya Nomura's stamp is all over both the heroes and monsters. Square Enix is planning on holding a press conference later on tonight, so look forward to more details soon."

I'm hoping a lot of stuff gets announced by S-E, but I can't say I expect it.

Not really thrilled with what they've done so far this generation, and not too impressed with their upcoming lineup, either. Most disappointing company this generation, IMO (along with Sega).

This is another no-so-exciting announcement, IMO.

Yeah! I didn't really like the first one on the Psx, but hopefully this one is made for a more adult audience than the kiddy audience the first one was made for. Besides, all the kids who liked the first one are 4-5 years older now, aren't they?

The first game was cute but, like most of you here, I did not put too much time to it. I don't really like A.RPG anyway. I don't know if I would see SquareEnix one of the most disappointing companies in this generation, like Decado. Just the fact that Square made the 1st RPG with in-game voice acting, I would not call them that.

I liked a few games that Square Enix have released since the new millenium (FFIX, FFX, Front Mission 4). But other than those, I don't really remember anything else they've done.

Hey thanx for the news! I have the original game on the PSX, but sadly did not like .
I hope this new one's gonna be better.
It's good to see that there are games which have a bigger hope for them (*cuogh*Shinobi*cough*).

I can't believe I see so much Brave Fencer Musashi hate. The game was great, and you insecure "oh no a kiddie game!" people can **** off. Zelda is more so kiddy than Brave Fencer Musashi.

Also, as far as the news goes, this is awesome. I hope it really is an involvement to the series. It looks like one anyway, but as the news says it's unconfirmed that it's a sequel or whatever. But if you look at the back of his hair, it resembles a lot.

I wasn't big on Brave Fencer Musashi either but not because it was kiddy. I just didn't like how the game played. Period.

Idiots with bad perception, people who don't like a game that isn't slow, probably because they suck at any other games, and graphics whores.

Also, did you ever think about picture quality? Complain when you see high-res screens.

What's your problem Darkness? You want everybody to love the game. It?s been so long since I played Brave Fancer, I don?t remember why I didn?t like it, but there was something about it that pissed me off.
