So while ps/xbox get every fighting game that is being made the Damn GC gets one that nobody won`t buy? This is what i`m talking about. 3rd party are not trying hard enough and don`t give a damn about the GC and its fans. To tell you the truth,i`m starting not to care about them either. And the dumbasses wonder why 1st party games are the only ones that sale on the systems? Because 3rd party makes the choice easer for us.

Oh my!
Um, exactly what one fighting game the GC is getting are you talking about? Are they bringing over Naruto? ![]() If you're talking about Smash Bros or the Konami rip, then prepare to have your Guile be laughed at in the face by me. |

Well the GC controller is not the greatest for fighters especially 2d fighters. It wasn't bad for Soul Calibur 2 though. I guess people can buy an arcade stick instead.
So what is this fighting game?

Well okay, despite the fact that he is being vague, maybe it is about how SC2 is one of the few decent fighting games on the console. And yes, the GC is being overlooked for fighters. SNKP themselves don't want to port games for it and Capcom aren't in a hurry either.
The closest new thing we have is Konami's Smash Bros ripoff, and VF Cyber Generation, and that isn't even a fighting game. But anyway, as long as I have a console where I can get the games the GC won't have, I'm not complaining.

I think a lot has to do with the fact the GCN gets what it does. For one, what audience is there for fighting games on the GCN? Link totally made the GCN version of SC2 sell. Honestly, fighter are more of the teen-adult audience. So right there the GCN (the kids console) doesn't it seem like it be worth to even bother with. Then you got to consider Nintendo's fees and no online ect ect.

Shaman King is the only game worth mentioning that I can remember. But Sega and Namco have already staked their claim for their fighting titles on the Ps2. That's the way it goes sometimes.

I'm not exactly happy about this either. I remember back in 2002, when there were rumors of a Tekken Tag port coming to GC. What happened to that?
The best hope for GC now is if Hudson Soft decides to bring Bloody Roar 4 to GC like they did with BR3 and if Namco decides to make the next Tekken multiplatform. Maybe Capcom will have some kind of announcement at E3 but I'm not holding my breath.

The GCN controller is great for platform games, yet third party companies develop no good (if any) games of this genre for the system (don't mention Mario Sunshine please :thumbdn: ). Same goes for racing, adventure and fighting games. Why is it the Ps2 gets all of this games? Certainly is not because the Ps2 controller is better than the GCN's. |

I'm satisfied with Smash and SC2....I also have Cv.s.SNK2:EO which begs for an arcade stick.Mario Sunshine was amazingly fun.It just had no replay value.

Well seems like the XBox is mainly getting them aswell because of XB Live the GC can't offer a decent online option.

Don't get me wrong. I think the GC remote is very comfortable and games can play well on it but it's not perfect. The d pad is way too small, it's about the size of a GBA d pad. Not the greatest.
Soul Calibur 2 sold very well on GC. If the GC was just for kids I doubt they would have interested in SC2 with or without Link in it.

Mainstreme Fan, it's because the third-party community selfishly refuses to help make GC stand out. It doesn't matter anyway because most third-party titles don't sell very well even on PS2 and X-Box. When a game is popular on GC it tends to sell to about 30% of the GC's installed userbase (20 Mil. worldwide). Meanwhile, the few most popular titles for PS2 sell to an estimated 5% of PS2's supposed installed userbase (60 Mil. worldwide - or roughly 1% of the world's population; read: blatant lie). Sony fabricates their numbers, so the actual number is actually far less than what they produce. And it's clearly obvious that the userbase figures for PS2 don't factor into game sales (i.e. make them improve vs putting them on GC) because most titles are lucky to break the 300,000 sales point.
baratus, read above.
