Pioneer 16x DVD slot/tray feedback
I'm planning to buy a Pioneer 16x DVD slot but I've seen alot of ppl selling used Pioneer DVD slot, gives me the impression that it's not very good/stable??
Have anyone here own/used one before? Need consumers' feedback... otherwise, I'll probably get the tray one, just to be safe. |

I own the Tray version. Its one of the best players out there. Thing is I would recommend getting the tray and not the slot. Tray is better.

Any specific reason for recommending the tray one? I'm planning to buy one because my Sony 12x DVD doesn't read CDs (silver CDs & CDR) properly... it's only 6 months old. Not sure what's wrong, maybe it's the EIDE cable/ maybe it's a crappy brand or I've been using CDRs too much?
Just to be safe, I would recommend ppl put Sony's DVD drive in your "Do not buy list". |

Most Sony products should be in that list as they break more then any other 'top' brand. I really can't remember the specifics on the tray/slot thing. I think it had to do something with slots have more chances of getting problems because of the mechanics inside. I really dont recall. I just know waaaay back when I bought mine, like 3+ years ago or whatever, slot was not favoured.
