New Dengeki number for SMS + overal top 50 (just added)

The latest Dengeki chart is out. Super Mario Sunshine sold 100,533 units between July 22nd - July 28th bringing to a total of 409,298 since the release on July 19th. Whats interesting is that Media Create / Bloomberg reported SMS sold over 400,000 units within the first four days. Dengeki numbers are accouned for ten days, and the game just a little over the 400K mark. Maybe because during the week of July 22 - 28 the game was in short supply?

i doubt SMS has sold a million right now
Famitsu and Dengeki figures sometimes significantly differ (up to 20k) from each other, but even the difference would never close the gap between 400k and 1 million units

There probably isn't 1 million copies in existance yet. If SMS can sell .5 million in 2 weeks in Japan, I think it won't be long before Mario hits 1 mil. in Japan alone.

I was suprised to see the Xbox is finally on the charts after a long hiatus. What is Murakumo?

Its a mech game made by From software.. the people who make the armored core games.. I want it BAD.. although I heard it wasn't quit up to par w/ the armored core series... anyways.. crazy taxi 3 made the list as well..
Castle of shikigama was in the top 10 on EGMs list a few monhs ago.. but it apeals to japanese gamers soo.. yeah

I think that Mario Sunshine will have a hard time getting to 1 million in Japan alone. SMS sales droped by 2/3 from the previous Dengeki chart. SMS doesn't seem to be a system seller either, sales of the GC are still under 10,000 weekly, while the PS2 is at 50,000+.

There is hardly any third party game to sell system, and there is like one GameCube game released every 6 weeks. Bahh.

I am just wondering why Konami never bothered to bring that big head baseball game JIKKYOU POWERFUL PRO BASEBALL to here? Consider it sells so well in Japan, even at the 9th installment.

That is suprising. I still bet that it will sell over a million copies worldwide, because of the US. Personally, I didn't like the original Golden Sun too much. I played about a quarter of the way through the game and was just bored to death and havn't played it since. I really wanted to like GS, because everybody was talking about how great it was. I will eventually finish the game, but I'm in no hurry. I havn't really touched my GBA in the last 3 or 4 months. I just became pissed off at the super dark/super glare/crapola screen that Nintendo made for the GBA.
I wish the GBA had the same screen as my NGPC. I'll buy the new GBA with the brighter screen the day it hits the streets here in the US. Then I'll get the new GBA, new Contra and new Castlevania and enjoy my GBA collection agian. Until then, my GBA and the eight games that I own will collect dust. Sorry about being a bit off topic.

I'd like to play a big-head baseball game. I really dislike realistic looking spot games. They're just not fun t0 me.

If I wanted to pl4y the most realistic sport gam3 ever- I'd go outside and d0 it...

Oh, and I'm not to worried about the slow GS2 sales, I know I'll pick it up. Even though I hav3n't finished the current one yet.
