Fastest CPU for Socket 370

What's the fastest Intel CPU(Pentium&Celeron) that uses socket 370? Planning to upgrade my old internet PC(Celeron 466MHz).

The fastest procesor for the socket 370 is the pentium 3 1.4 ghz. Newegg is selling it for 207 bucks which I think its a bit expensive. Maybe its time for you to consider a new setup rather than upgrading the cpu ;)

I already own an up to date PC(AMD 2500XP), I don't use it to go online at all, unless I'm playing an online game. I'm still using my old 466MHz Celeron for surfing the net/downloading because I don't want my new AMD PC to get infected by viruses/spyware etc.

Someone is selling a used 1.3GHz Celeron for USD30 only. That's why I'm considering about upgrading my old PC.

Ohh in that case then its a bargain. I wouldnt find any reason to upgrade the cpu but for 30 dollars I would definitly go for it

Hell, for $150 you could get a great motherboard and an amd 2600+. Or a little less for 2500-1.5Ghz.
