Graphic card table. For the serious buyer!

Here we go. I stumbled across a new updated table with a stack of ATI and nVidia graphic cards being tested. So if anyone is thinking of upgrading, or about to, there should be some useful news here for you. One complaint I have is the guy who made the table didn't do it in a nice format. I would have prefered best to worst going downwards, but he has them messed around and such. Oh well. Heres just a couple tables. The rest of them is at the site. Also read up the info on the cards themselves to learn whether some heat faster, some have louder fans, etc.

If I understand those drawings. I would say Far Cry is a fucking frame eater. With only 3 card well above the 60FPS..I would say Far Cry could be one of the most frame eating game at this moment. Pff

Its pretty hardware intensive. But if you saw the game in motion you'd see why. Its luuuuuuush.

And those card can still keep it at 70 fps is just amazing. I saw it in motion and I was impressed. This game could be something like a sleeper hit. Wonder if it can stand side by side with Call of Duty.Ubisoft as a publisher of this title and others and as a developer of a few great titles is doing a great job for the last few months.

Are all factors equal in this comparison? Are the cards all operating on the same exact computer when this was tested? If not, they should be. That's the only way you can do a truly fair comparison.

If you check the link it gives you specifics on which system the tests were all run on. I think it goes without saying that hardware testers nowadays aren't stupid enough to test one card with one cpu and another with another.

Incidentally, for those of you curious enough, those tests were run on an Athlon 64 3200+ with 1 gig PC3200 ram.

Yeah, but what if one machine had Outlook Express open and was checking e-mail during the test?

I dont think this game can be considered a Sleeper Hit, ATMA. Too many people I know are looking forward to it for ages now. Sleeper hits are the ones that appear and slap you upside the face with its coolness.

Actually you are right. I used my personal surrounding to say something like that. I'm not surrounded by p.c gamers..hence I was the only one following this game or pass info for it to those who didn't know about it. But Ubisoft been advertise for this game in a very good way for a time now.

Here's 3 videos from Jeux-France. Still have to check them out.

Why does everyone want more thatn 60 FPS?? Cant the human eye only handle 60 FPS max. Whichs means that anything over this is useless overkill.
