Devil May Cry 3 Is In Motion

Devil May Cry 3 Is In Motion

(IGN) Capcom is mum on it, but Martial Artist Stephanie Cheeva isn't.

February 27, 2004 - The first Devil May Cry made a huge splash when it erupted on the PlayStation 2 scene in 2001 with its accidentally addictive juggling combat and stylishly cool main character Dante. The sequel left much to be desired and now, almost a year after the second one calmed the waters, it appears there is a third game in the works. Shocking news, we know.

We always expect sequels from the master of unlocking, erm, master of sequels, that is, and according to the Website Kung Fu Cinema, a third Devil May Cry is in the works. What would a Kung Fu site know about videogames? A whole lot, apparently, as Actress and Martial Artist Stephanie Cheeva showed up and talked about it.

There is a lot going on with the Devil May Cry license these days, as a new comic is coming out soon and Dante is making a special appearance in the Atlus game, Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Maniacs. But Cheeva said she is currently doing "motion capture work on a new Devil May Cry videogame," which is more than has been said before.

"For a company that is known for making sequels, there is always a possibility for such a game," said a Capcom representative. "But there are no official announcements on that game as of now. There will be some stuff at E3, but what, we can't even tell yet."

It's still very early, to be honest. For a Japanese-owned company, Capcom Entertainment (the Western arm of the company) often learns the full slate of games it will show at the very last minute, i.e., one or two days prior to E3 itself. So Capcom doesn't seem to know when, or if, the game will appear at E3 (it wouldn't say one way or the other), but we expect that at the very least, there will be at least a video or announcement of some kind come mid-May.

We'll have more on Devil May Cry 3 as soon as you can say "Stylish Hard Action."

well, i am pretty sure that shinji isn't going to touch this game. with that being said, DMC3 will probably be better than 2, but it will never touch the original.

the first DMC was so awesome, the second one was so lame, let's pray this new one is as good as the first one with more creepy enemies and darkest places, not necesarily those boring streets from DMC 2
games are just like a merry-go-round,the first few rounds everything is fun but then they turn monotonous

yeah if anything they should look of DMC 2 and learn from what they did wrong in that game and not use it again in DMC 3. So we can only pry that its not going to be anything like DMC 2 and more like DMC 1(with better things )

I still think the original was one of the best in the series. If the third ends up being better I will be a happy camper.

One of the best in the series? Dude that series had only two games anyway. If the original one is ONE of the best. Which one is the OTHER one of the best.

ha, ha

... certainly not DMC 2. they need to eradicate the crappy lock-on system, and make the camera fixed. also, better locations would be preferable...

why am i not surprised?... oh right, cause it was obvious! They could be doing a new street fighter, but as usual theire working on another too soon senseless sequal! I just hope they can manage a plot for this game, this time around...

Capcom made all three versions of SFIII before the first DMC came out, and they still haven't produced the sequel nor a sequel to Vampire Savior. After all this waiting SFIV better be somewhere beyond incredible.

Oh yeah.... DMC3. Don't the companies make their employees sign non-dislosure agreements in their contracts? If so, then how come this martial artist is running around freely discussing something that Capcom doesn't want discussed yet?
Turn on the difference.
