Ad-Aware does not take out all of the spyware from what i`v heard, try a combination of other similar ad-removable software.

I use Spybot Search in addition to Ad-Aware, it does a better job at detecting things that Ad-Aware does not picked up during it scan.

There is also this one, but I never heard of it until recently: http://www.enigmasoftwaregroup.com/jump.shtml Not sure if I should try their software. Anybody heard of them before?

I tried thier program. It seems pretty good from what I noticed, found a few that others missed however it will only scan your system unless you purchase the program. Otherwise you need to go through your system and delete the files manually.

Some redirectors have a way of re-installing themselves with hidden folders the spyware catchers don't catch. CW Shredder finds such files and destroys them.

I downloaded this and seems to be working.

SpywareBlaster-
By setting a "kill bit" for spyware ActiveX controls, SpywareBlaster can prevent the installation of any spyware ActiveX controls from a webpage. It does this while not interfering with "friendly" ActiveX controls - so your browser can work correctly and you can have peace of mind!

You won't get any more annoying "Yes/No" boxes popped up, asking you to install a spyware ActiveX control (which can increasingly be found in pop-up ads!). In fact, Internet Explorer will never even download or run the spyware ActiveX control!
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

They have other software to prevent spyware so check it out.

To fix this ActiveX ****, get Mozilla Firebird. www.mozilla.org. Seriously. IE iis such a flawed program.

I used to use Ad-aware. But, it doesnt get it all. Spybot: S&A is where it's at!
