The King of Fighters 2000/2001 thread.

Yeah so I got my copy today..and i've put some minutes in it, very nice package, allthough now I wish I went for the DC version. They decided to censor a few things like blood...they took it away and also Mai's Bouncing isn't there anymore (and I heard other stuff but I haven't checked them out yet, heard something about K'9999 gun). Freaking game gets a Teen rating; Blood Violence but there's no BLOOD in the game..i'm not sure who decided to do it nor if it was SNK Japan or SNK USA responsible for that, but comeon there are far more games out there when you give someone an uppercut he/she lose like 3 gallons of blood before touching the ground where he/she will lose another 3 gallons upon contact with the ground. Anyway not happy with that decision at all. But that doesn't stop me from enjoying the game, not like I bought the game to see blood or some "bouncing", besides Team Ninja pwnz everyone when it comes to bouncing.

Anyways I cannot write much right now cause Alucard is probably trying to ban me because I said Onslaught can beat Thor in a death match, that or because I just haven't put enough time in the game yet..but so far so good ..

Any thoughts about this game?

Censored? Gah.. Little hope for 2003 to be left alone then. Are the language settings there? I mean can you change it from US to Japan language for example. I know the Neogeo hasthe american version censored but if you set it to japanese it uncensores it. I'm still getting over Rugals 'CUTTER' attack, cause apparantly GENOCIDE CUTTER was just far too shocking.

So far as I know..I haven't seen an option to make things Japanese...tell you the truth this is the first English version of King of Fighters I have played..and this would probably be my last also.
I won't be waiting for 2002 on the ps2, think amma grab it for the DC wich is allready out.

So much for "mature gamer"

I have US version King of Fighters 99 on PS and Mai still bounced but there was no blood in that version either.

Man if they edit 03 game I?m not going to be happy.

What kind of stupid remark is that:thumbdn:

Violence and dignity are two different things.

Even if it was kind of ridicilous to the gaming community they had the right to retract that from the game.

What am I suppose to do in party mode? The characters stand there like punching bags without giving a challange, are they suppose to keep you from unlocking stuff? All they do is ..nothing... Anyway have unlocked a few things need to practice my skillz again, been a long time. Till now not sure wich one I like more 2000 or 2001.

Damn, my humour has been found out.

I prefer 2001 of the two. 2000 annoyed me. 2003, judging by the clips and descriptions, should be the first TRUE sequel since 98, in my opinion.

Yeah 2003 looks pretty good so far, wonder if they'll bring it also over for the DC.

hmm~ i like the KOF in DC version too~ coz they have an image gallery for u to collect pics (as far as i know in KOF 01), but i don't know whether the ps2 version have it too
and i find it more easier to do the moves with DC's controller than the ps2 one

Well the ps2 got this memory mode thing where you can unlock some intros from the previous KoF games, don't know if the DC has it though since I haven't touch it. I just waited and went with a *censored* KOF game instead.
