There are enough market for every single game out there.
While I still buy RPG?s and love them to death, I will continue to ignore GTA 3, state of emergency AND that lousy producer. Just ignore it.

I dont think he's necessarily making fun of RPGs, he's just saying that the games he produces cater to a different market. The mainstream market he's targeting isnt interested in RPGs, and probably arent the "hardcore" gamers. A lot of my friends normally dont play games but even they talk about how cool GTA3 is.

Anyway, the guy comes off as a big phony (in that article anyway), like he has to have an over the top personality to match the over the top games he makes (well he/Rockstar doesnt actually make the games).

he didn't really make fun of rpg's (read the post above mine). and even if he did why should you care if you like rpg's. it's not like they were ever considered in the cool genre to begin with.

If you really want to stick it to him, don't buy his games. I probably won't either, as I'm not to fond of over the top gore or violence. That and, it's not out for GC.

I like RPGs..

ITs all aprt of the marketing deal. He is hired to make noise and cause a stir, just like the games his company publishes, do.

Different market sectors give different responses to that comment. And if you are REALLY smart, you just won't give a damn.

I like both GTA3 and NWN, and I certainly don't smoke weed. :p
