Magatama exclusive to Japanese XBOX

Microsoft mentioned they do not have plans to bring the Japanese Xbox action game Magatama to US and Europe, the game is currently exclusive in Japan.

This is a big mistake, the game is going to bomb in Japan anyway, why wasting the game? This game seems way better than Capcom's Onimusha 1 & 2.

I don't think that this means that Magatama will not come out in the US and Europe, just that there is currently no date set for it to come out in the west. This statement was probably taken out of context and you would have to see the whole interview or the question that was asked. I hope this is the case anyways, Magatama looks kinda cool.

This statement from Magicbox news for 9/20/03 for example:
- Bungie mentioned that Halo 2 is still in development, they do not have any plans for Halo 3, as the entire team is busy with Halo 2, the game is tentatively scheduled for an April 2004 release. However, they do have plans for another Xbox title after Halo 2 is completed.

Does this mean that there will not be a Halo 3? I don't think so. Just that Bungie is hard at work on Halo 2 and Halo 3 developement hasn't even started.

maybe but it's obviously made for the Japanese audience ex FFVII developers and all.

I remember reading from somewhere that Bungie's boss dude who I can't remember said they will kill the serie after second one. Or was it that they make three at most. But I don't think that will be the case if MS have anything to say about it. ;)

I was always under the impression that Halo was goin to be a trilogy, like Bungie's Marathon FPS trilogy.

While this doesn't say that there won't be a HALO 3, I think it's pretty obvious that there are no plans to bring Magawhatsit to US soil anytime soon, duh.

i would love to know why. are the japanese gamers mad because they think the xbox sucks and that they (developers) think they will be torturing us if they do not release the game here?

it seems like they are saying, "hey lets make a real cool game for the xbox and only release it here in japan because all the other games suck!"

What would have been smart of Microsoft (they may have done it) to do was let some American gamers play a beta of the game to see if we got the material...It would be a shame if the game is a great game and we miss out on it....
