TV on your GBA: Nintendo is going all out!

Quote:
Allrpg.com:
A television tuner for the Gameboy Advance will make its appearance in Japan this August. It is already available for order from certain Japanese web sites. The small tuner will enable players to watch, you guessed it, TV on their Nintendo GBA! A US version is planned for release in September
Your Thoughts?

I've heard Pelican was at E3 with one (GBA TV tuner), Mad Catz has it listed in their fall line-up, and GameGizmo's in on it, too: http://gbx.consoleclassix.com/gba/gba_tv_tuner.htm

Now if this news means there'll be an OEM Nintendo one, then I'm there.

Just tell yourself it's because you could never take it on the road AND play games on it at the same time!

BTW. the batteries on the tuner (4 AAs) make it last 100 minutes.. if you use special expensive batteries it can chug around till 180 minutes!

I can watch three Simpsons epsidoes!? Wow! :spin smil

There are not that many channels you can watch without cable.... so TV Tuner is not really useful here....

Yeah, it would depend where you're at really...

Like here in Tampa they've got MTV2, FOX13, UPN44, ABC28, CBS.. PBS (2!), WB, Telemundo, Telefutura, and several others.. so I'd be alright- but it's no cable.

What's the point of hooking a PS2 to GBA? The screen is so tiny, I bet you can't even see any text clearly on the screen.
