How good/bad Devil May Cry 2 will be without Shinji Mikami?

It seems like the original producer of Devil May Cry is not responsible for Devil May Cry 2, the game is being developed by another team. I wonder how good / bad the game turns out to be without him? It's like losing the "spirit" from the original developer.

It could either be good or bad, that's depends on how talented the team are.

Look at smilebit taking the place of Team Andromeda for Panzer Dragon Orta. Look great!

But I still feel that DMC 2 will suffersr a lot . A Devil May Cry without Shinji Mikami it's like a new Zelda game without Shiegu Miyamoto.

actually, shinki mikami in an interview said that he was working on project devil for the PS2, so if this is not produced by him, what exactly is project devil? i assumed that when he said that this game does not have Dante as the main character, it means refers to the other playable character (maybe it will pull a mgs2 on us, or just that the story focuses on the new character). after reading this thread, perhaps project devil is another game, so exactly what is it?

Project Devil is probably a Devil May Cry spinoff, in another genre like RPG or something?

- Capcom announced that they are working on a new title named Project Devil, the developer Shinji Mikami mentioned that the game will not feature Dante from Devil May Cry, so it is still uncertain whether this is a sequel to Devil May Cry. Full details of the game will be revealed at E3.

I"m sure that DMC2 will turn out just as good as the original, if Dante keeps his image and the gameplay keeps up with the times. If you guys have seen the preview trailer i'm sure that there is nothing to worry about. It will turn out just fine

it think the second one will be good..maybe better than than the first..if they have the same and improved gameplay from the first.then i guess i'll like it..i think many people like DMC cuz of its gameplay and not for he storyline...but i could be wrong..=)

Beg to differ here, Shoebuffer. I think bullet time is just a gimmick that's fast becoming old. Gratuitious bullet time effects do not a good game make.
