Altered Beast and Shinobi look horrible on GBA!?

Both games look horrible to me! Altered Beast looks like a bad Genesis game from 10 years ago, and Revenge of Shinobi looks like a GB Color game to me. What Sega's doing with these games? It's crazy to make games in this quality.

That's because both games are not developed by Sega, they are handled by some US game studios....

The screenshots I've seen of these games hardly even resemble the games they're based on.

You should probably look into the Sega Smash Pack releases for GBA, Sega may decide to release the classic Altered Beast and Shinobi Revenge with the next Sega Smash Pack volumes.

I think it was THQ. I played Shinobi at E3, and whoever said it's right, it did look terrible, nothing like the great game on Megadrive/Genesis. More of Sega spreading themselves thin....

Ya some of these development companies seem to think that the GBA is a "kiddie" toy and don't put any effort into the games...it's REALLY disapointing.

Sega is trying to mimic Nintendo, license their brands to other developers, but they didn't choose the right ones.

There's still time for improvement. Remember the early screenshots for Metroid Fusion? It looked like a game on Commrodore 64's unwanted stepson.

I think THQ is only doing the publishing of the two games, all the development is still on Sega.

Anyway, I don't think the best graphics in the world would make me wanna play Altered Beast if it's anything like the Genesis version.

But it looks like the devs have already made a choice as far as which road they want to take.. and they've somehow missed all the "Do not Enter," "Wrong Way," and "Dead End" signs...

Eh.. we'll see..

Sega did choose the wrong developer for these classic games.

They should learn from Nintendo who's been giving theirs licence characters to the right third-parties.
