ISO News busted!
For those of you unaware of what Isonews is, it was a website that would give accurate-up-to-the-hour listings of cd iso "releases" on the warez scene. It removed any "illegal" content such as serial numbers or links as to where you could download the cds from, even though the forums were breeding grounds for everyone who downloaded and played pirated games.
The government has been trying to get at them for ages and it looks like they finally did it - through Isonews purchasing and re-selling on US grounds of modchips, which are prohibited by the DMCA. Webmaster David Rocci, 22 years of age, has agreed to abandon the site and could be sentenced for up to 5 years in prison, with a fine of up to 1/2 a million US$. Ouch! :p |

I'll admit to haveing a few DC backups.. as well as roms on my comp.... but I still buy ALOT of games.. but the problem is people who don't buy games.. and have 200 backups for each system.... IMO |

In that case, they might as well bust Blockbuster and other video shops for game rentals. People don't buy games because of that too.

But i guess that piracy is a natural response to overly charged products like videogames! If they were cheaper ppl would buy more
