[STATS]
Games Beaten: 10
Unique Games Beaten: 10
Platforms: PC: 7, Wii U: 1, PS4: 2

1. Resident Evil 7 (2017) (PC) - January 23 - Really liked this one. Probably my favorite Resident Evil since REmake. So ready for the 8th game now. Actually give a shit about this franchise again.
2. ICEY (2016) (PC) - March 1 - What a fun hack n slash game. Had some humorous bits where you 'disobey' the narrator and he gets mad. Encourages you to 'meta' the game, ala The Stanley Parable.
3. Layers of Fear (2016) (PC) - March 4 - Really one of my favorite spooky games of all time. Not really a horror game, more like a really long haunted house. Mostly jump scares and tension, but it's short enough that it doesn't outstay it's welcome.
4. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (2017) (Wii U) - March 26 - Totally blew me away. I didn't think much of this game until I watched my brother play it. The way that your gameplay evolves naturally in the game is so great. My favorite open world game, better than GTA, Far Cry, and ES games.
5. Persona 5 (2017) (PS4) - June 16 - First Persona game I ever played. Really liked the way it blended a fer different genres (dating sim, jrpg, visual novel) together. Felt like the story kind of dragged on and was a little uneven near the end and that the game lasted way too long (110 hours for me), but the series is definitely on my radar now.
6. X-COM 2: War of the Chosen (2017) (PC) - September 21 - Amazing expansion pack for X-COM 2. So worth the $30, adds nearly an entire second game's worth of content to X-COM 2. Get it!
7. The Evil Within 2 (2017) (PC) - November 7 - Better than the first gameplay wise, but a much weaker story and weaker boss fights. Gotta find that good mix, Tango Gameworks!
8. The Witcher 3: Compelte Edition (2016) (PC) - November 30 - Both DLCs completed, all quests completed, all Gwent cards found, all "?" marks found and completed. Great game, subpar combat. Blood and Broken Bones difficulty.
9. Grand Theft Auto 5 (2015) (PC) - December 4 - FINALLY beat this game. Did all the missions, chose Ending C. Such a fun game, but I'm glad to finally delete it off the SSD.
10. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (2017) (PS4) - December 5 - Shorter than I expected (guess I didn't know what to expect), but still very memorable. At $15, I feel like it was way more entertainment than going to a movie. And, to be honest, the shorter length was kind of refreshing. The story seemed much tighter than a 20h epic.

I was waiting to see if anyone would make a new one. Last year i dropped off on my progress with WoW legions release, but i have quit it now, so i should be able to make some progress again.

1. Devil's third (wii u)- jan
2. Assassins creed syndicate + jack the ripper (ps4) - jan
3. Trails of cold Steel (vita) - jan
4. Saint seiya: soldier's soul (ps4) - jan
5. Final fantasy XV (ps4) - march
6. The king of fighters XIV (ps4) - march
7. The last guardian (ps4) - march
8. Beyond 2 souls (ps4) - april
9. Layton vs AA (3DS) - april
10. Star ocean 5 (ps4)
11. Naruto ninja storm 4 (ps4)
12. The technomancer (ps4)
13. The Evil Within (ps4)
14. Sonic Mania (ps4)
15. RE: Revelations 2 (ps4)
16. Guild Wars 2:Heart of thorns (pc)
17. Danganrompa V3 (Vita)
18. Guild Wars 2: Path of fire (pc)
19. Xenoblade Chronicles X (Wii U)

Devil's third was ok, but a couple of generations behind the curve. It would've been a great game on the original Xbox. Nowadays? Mediocre is the best word to describe it. But, there is fun to be had if you can overlook the outdated tech.

Finished AC Syndicate and the Jack the ripper DLC.

And... it was the last AC game i play, i believe.

The reviews made this game sounds good, but its not. Yes, its a slight upgrade vs the previous ones. There is a talent tree now so every mission feels more rewarding, but at the end of the day it doesnt hide the fact that AC games are cons. They make the first 1 or 2 missions amazing, but from there onward its a slew of boring and repetitive content with the most barebones story ever.

I forced myself to finish this. I am sick of AC. Syndicate should have scored no more than 5/10 for beeing a repetitive boring mess. More proof that commercial reviews are bought (not literally, but they dont give low scores due to fear of reprisal. Its beyond me how a game like mad max scores a 5/10 and a game that is more boring and generic gets 8/10. Completely dumbfounded!).

Finished LoH: Trails of cold steel.

It was awesome in a persona way, but it was dragging a bit towards the end. They also seem to have cut one chapter and sold it as an audio drama, wich was annoying.
Really good RPG. Proving once again that imo turn based is the best for RPG's because of the connections you make with the characters. You feel invested and you will care about every character (and the party is quite big).

Saint seiya: soldiers soul on ps4.

It's actually a surprisingly really good game for fans of the anime. It includes the 4 main story arch's and even a bonus mode based on the soul of gold anime.

To get an idea, this is for saint seiya what DBZ tenkaichi was for DBZ. Really nice discovery and i got it for 12 euros on the recent psn sale. Feels like a steal. The game is worth more. Theres more tournament, versus, customisation (like the capsules in DBZ) and online (wich i don't care about). The story mode has grades and challenges for you to keep coming back too and theres an absolute ton of unlockables (did i mention 72 playable charqcters?).

Yeah, pretty cool little game that will fit nicely in the collection.

January:

Really disliked Star Fox Zero's controls took me quite a while to get the hang of and even then it was really a pain in the ass. Batman was interesting through it's a different take on the characters and the backstory that I haven't seen before so that kept it interesting. It was also a lot darker then other Batman games that are around at the moment.

Axiom Verge is the best game I've played this month a nice mixture of Castlevania SOTN and Metroid. It has a decent story with a few good twists and the monsters in the game are based around body horror with good designs especially the bosses. There are a lot of optional items and weapons to find around the levels that should keep you playing for a good while if you want to collect everything.

Got stuck in Axiom Verge and haven't picked it back up in months. I need to get back to it. I loved it.

I finished FFXV!

It was crap! Yaaay!

Seriously... the game can be divided into 2 parts. The generic sandbox that is uber boring and where traveling is a pain and the main story campaign, that is short, underdeveloped and uneventful. Finally what glues them together is the simplistic crap combat.
For fairness sake, the only redeeming aspect of this game are some of the dungeons in the sandbox, be it mountains or caves, they seemed to hit that nostalgia FF factor and showed the potencial this game had to be much more if not designed by mongaloids (pardon my french).

It is noticeable that this game was a mess of a project that got recovered into something mediocre that can be sold.

I do think it's funny that no one mentioned the Sonic 06 style Leviathan fight. This game is a 5 or 6 out of 10. All those reviewers that gave it 8s and 9s need to get put in the hospital because they are positively insane.

The marketing department at squeenix made a hell of a job on this one, selling the vision and depth of a story and world that simply doesn't have it.
Also... like the Tales series... i feel like i'm done with the FF series. It's been 2 gens now without one good game. I'm tired of wasting my time and money with them.

Hopefully they manage not to ruin FF7, but after playing this i am extremely worried.
