I haven't played Ikaruga in over 2 weeks. When I stopped, I was ranked about #32 I think. Over the past two weeks I've slipped to 50 something as people gradually got higher scores than me. I could get my score up to 7,000,000 or 8,000,000 if I worked at it. Maybe I'll try that today, just to get back in the top 50. :cool guy:

I have no clue how that one guy got over 30,000,000. What's even more shocking is he got a HIGHER score (30,900,000 or something) on the prototype ranking, which is way harder than the original mode!!

30 million plus, God damn. Is there any cheats or codes for the game? Maybe the guy was using it.

Just two more months before the game hits the US, can't wait! Oh yeah, I hope they also have the ranking system here.

No there aren't any cheats or codes for this game. He got that score through pure skill. You can't cheat in Ikaruga's net-ranking mode. Everyone gets 2 lives and no continues, that's it. The outcome is dependant upon the player's skill, and that's what's so beautiful about the game. It's totally possible to get over 30,000,000, as has been shown. You just have to play the game through flawlessly.

BTW, how are the American rankings up? Or was that some kind of joke?

It's not really American rankings, it's just the people living in Japan who are American citizens (like me). When you register for the net-ranking, you have to claim your nationality. There's only me and two other guys, and if you look at our scores as a whole compared to the Japanese players, it's rather pathetic (though my score isn't bad, if I do say so myself!).

Keep practicing! Remember, play on the normal difficulty, set the number of lives to 2, and no continues. That's the way you have to practice if you want to get a high score on the net-ranking.

After you die in the net-ranking you get a 12 digit password. You write this down, go to the net-ranking site, login (you have to register first), then input your 12 digit password. Then your score is generated by the online computer, and instantly posted on the scoreboard. Of course you can make up a score, but you can't post it on the net-ranking!!

You can just come to some forum like this and say "yeah, I got 45 million the other day, really, I did. Yup".

What if you change the code they give you? by luck, you can re-arranged it and the computer online will give you a high score.
