Is Sega of America paying people to promote Eternal Arcadia Legends on BBSes?

A BBS that I often use has had two users come on and post nothing but praise for the Gamecube version of Eternal Arcadia. They have started threads such as "Skies of Arcadia Legends reviews madness (must read)" and "God! How I love SOAL!!"

Is this a problem elsewhere and is Sega of America paying people to do this?

I think they're crazy people with little to do in life but come onto BBS's where they think their friends are and try to plug a game they recently played. Cause they are imoprtant... Also, Sega dont advertise. They're too stupid to know this term.

That might be true Alucard. Then again, they just might be desperate given their current trend of laziness. That would be pretty sad; self-created praise.

I myself think that those are crazy fans turned more crazy when they heard SOA producer says that they will not make a sequel until the GC version sells well!
so they begun posting just to feel comfortable!
Yes Sega is too stupid to know how advertising make wonders

All of you guys are wrong, I just recieved a check from Sega (8500 U.S. Dollars) for advertising Skies of Arcadia on a few bbs's.

By the way Guys did you know that Skies of Arcadia Legend is a fantastic amazing game for the Gamecube that absolutely should not be missed.

I definitely think it's suss. Even sites like the Konami forums, which have nothing to do with the game, have had people with low post counts posting these kind of notes. Either a fan has become insane and is posting the same stuff on all the forums, or someone associated with the game is doing it.

Well hey! I went around promoting Steely Dan's new album for this year, Everything Must Go, which is scheduled to be released May 6th. You can check their official website at http://www.steelydan.com for updates as soon as they put them up, including soon to be added soundclips from the album and the tracklisting. You all know Steely Dan; they did songs like Black Friday, Do It Again, Peg, Rikki Don't Lose That Number, My Old School, Hey Ninteen, Josie, etc.

Just an example of what Sega or this individual is doing (similarly).
