Your game sale stash. Steam/etc
Tell us all the awesome games you got for super cheap during the steam sale! And other places counted too as plenty did sales. I'll make a list once my fear of my huge list subsides.

Well my Summer sale haul was, going down my purchase history:
Fallout 3: GOTY Edition Trine 1 & 2 Cave Story+ Blocks that Matter Dear Esther Psychonauts EYE: Divine Cybermancy Dead Space 2 Red Orchestra 2 BIT.TRIP.RUNNER STALKER: Clear Sky Chantelise Thief: Deadly Shadows Nexuiz Alan Wake & American Nightmare VVVVVV World of Goo Prince of Persia ARMA 2: Combined Operations Jade Empire Italic = Indie. All those game's price combined is barely more than 1 full-priced modern game! There's some pretty awesome stuff in there, so I'll be set for quite some time; I already had games I needed to catch up on so the sales really just piled it all on. I'm not complaining though.Heil Steam!

Street Fighter IV AE 2012
Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Version (not a Steam sale, but same time) Dark Messiah Might and Magic Dreamfall: Longest Journey E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind GOTY (sold my hard copy) F.E.A.R. 1 & The Expansions Fallout 3/NV GOTY GTA Vice City, IV, and Episodes of Liberty City Prince of Persia Forgotten sands and Two Thrones Red Orchestra 2 GOTY Sid Meier's Pirates Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity Ys: Origin Commander Keen Adventures Hard Reset And just recently X3: Albion Conflict Alucard; I think the same way. Valve has it setup to have the store right next to your collection. So anytime you're playing a game you can automatically diverge your attention to sales. I love the price I pay for games on Steam. But after these sales, I feel as though I just came back from a store. But really I haven't, I've just been sitting at my computer. Last edited by Northeastmonk; 07-25-2012 at 02:37 PM. |

Alan Wake, SF4, Fallout 3 / Fallout: NV with all the DLC, Arma 2 : Operation Arrowhead (already owned Arma 2), Binding of Isaac, Left 4 Dead 2 (surprisingly never got this before).
Probably some other stuff that I'm forgetting. |

Hopefully you'll enjoy this one. I thought it was exceellent. Some gameplay mechanics in it that arent in other games. Like using a nearby fire to light up your arrow for fire damage in the middle of a fight. Using stuff around you, physics based stuff. Brilliant game. |

the only thing i bought was bastion. unless it's a day1 purchase (which is rare), i've already bought everything i want to play from previous sales for the same or less price.
the steam sale kinda sucked compared to last years.. a lot of the same games from last year were more expensive this year. i guess games released on steam increase in value over over time?

The entire DOW franchise, £215 worth of stuff, was only £17 during the sale. I'd hardly call expensive now.
The sales were as awesome as usual, I picked up a lot of stuff for dirt. I left some things simply because next Summer sale they'll be even cheaper, and I'll play them then. Plus I need a year to catch up on all the things I already have got, I haaaaaaate having a huge backlog of games.

Zelda did shit 15 years ago! Combining is one thing. No way did you do stuff on the fly during gameplay, freezing water, electrocuting it if someone was standing in it, smashing piled up logs to roll over your enemies etc.

smashing piled up logs/rocks to make them roll over enemies has been done in loads of games. |
